My spirit rejoices in all the blessings God has so mercifully bestowed upon me. I thank my Lord for His great love that has sustained me all these years. My life is a testimony to His unbending love, mercy and compassion. When I contemplate from where He has brought me, I fall on my knees is humility and lift up my soul in adoration. If you need to see a miracle of God’s love, just look at me. I get very emotional and spiritually overwhelmed whenever I reflect upon God’s mercies and think about all the “could have beens.” But because of His love, I was not consumed. God protected me from dangers I was not even aware of and was my body guard against the evils that tried to overcome me. When my world turned dark and my spirit pained by circumstances, He touched my eyes and opened my vision to reveal a lighted path that only spiritual eyes could see. As I followed the path, my world became brighter. But when I turned around, the world through which I was walking was still dark and then I understood a new truth. Thank you Lord. In everything I give thanks. If I have a flat tire, I thank God that it was only one. If I am stuck in traffic, I thank God for the time to meditate. If I encounter rude and mean people, I thank God for showing me those I should pray for and for reminding me of my own imperfections. If I don’t have steak, I thank God for the hot dog. When I experience injustice, I thank God for granting me a taste of what my Lord had to endure for my sake. When it rains in my life, I thank God for the shelter of His grace and the pleasure of His company and companionship. When the sun shines in my life, I thank God for the Son and all the blessings He bestows upon me. When I must walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I thank God for the promise of a heavenly home and sweet reunion day. When I am sick, I thank God for His mercy, lest I be consumed. When I am well, I thank God for His mercy, lest I forget His loving kindness. In everything I give thanks. I thank God for my faith and for the legacy of the faith of believers from the beginning and down through the ages.

Planning for the Unexpected By Julian Huffer Unfortunately, most people fail to plan until it is too late. History tells us that for centuries humans have been witness to tragedies, and often times have been the victim of them. A cursory study points to one inescapable fact: a tragedy always produces another tragedy.Consider: all the wars, past and present, carried on in the name of some “sacred” or “national” cause, has always brought about death, destruction and ruin to countries, t… 3. Bitter or Gracious - Which can change the world? By Steve Singleton In the sad but wonderful motion picture, "Pay It Forward" (Warner Bros., 2000), 10-year-old Trevor McKinney suggests to his class the means by which he proposes to change the world. You do a good deed for three people, and when they offer to pay you or just say thanks, you ask them to "pay it forward." The idea catches on, and though the boy himself tragically dies trying to intervene in a knife fight, chains of people paying it forward move ou… 4. Afraid of The Light? By Steve Singleton Plato once said, “It is easy to forgive a small child afraid of the dark, but not a full-grown man afraid of the light.” Since long before Plato light has symbolized truth--facing the reality of our situation in relation to God, to others, and to self. Why are people afraid of the light? Some love evil and hate goodness.
